From the south (San Francisco, Napa, Santa Rosa) take Highway 101 north. The first exit to the Mendocino Coast is located in Cloverdale where Highway 128 takes you through the Anderson Valley, home of  many vineyards offering opportunities for wine tasting at some of Mendocino County's unique wineries.  Highway 128 terminates at highway 1 at the Navarro River.

Secret Trail to a Waterfall Mendocino California

This is an enchanting spot that is only a 20 minute walk off of County Road 409, between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. You can also hike to this  waterfall from the Russian Gulch State Park Campground near Mendocino. That route takes about two hours and  you  would have to pay a day use fee to park your car at the campground.
